Teen Card - Card A Day Blog

Hi there I am happy to  do my second post for the Card A Day design team.
The theme this week is Teen Cards. I was going to make a cool guitar card with my gypsy and my E but I thought that I would change it up abit.
It is a birthday card. I love using my embossing folders. The motorcycle is done with my cricut expression.
Paper is from my stash... I used silver paper then used my embossing folder. Brads on the side.
Motorcycle is from Father's Day (cricut) . Surprise stamped and then cut out with spellbinders.

Creative Kuts- A New Design Team Member!

For Festive Friday please scroll down the page....

I found out this week that I had been chosen to be on the Creative Kuts design team! I  will have my first big project in a couple of weeks but I offered to fill in for one of the gals who couldn`t do hers...
Here is my Freebie Fairy.
The paper for the card I had in my stash. I use stickles all over and some bling which is sooo me..
I used vellum for the wings and embossed the wings with silver embossing powder then sprayed then with liquid pearls. I used a peachy keen stamp for the face.
I am not sure what I am going to use this card as but it would work as a baby card or a birthday card too....
I think if I used this little gal again I would do her with blond hair just for a change... she is sooo cute!!!!

Festive Friday June 22

Hi all today is another Festive Friday! Wow I sure have made alot of Christmas cards so far this year. Most of them have gone to charity actions held in my area.

If you came here from Maria's blog then you are in the right place.
If you just happened upon my blog and you want to start at the beginning you can go to Terri's blog.

This weeks card was kind of a mistake. I saw the joy bingo type card and wanted to use it but I also wanted to use the red paper also...so I just layered.  So I added some twine and an acrylic snowflake added some tim holtz marker to joy and some glossy accents. Its different but I think I like it.

Elmo and Friends Blog Hop Day 2

Today I am doing the hop instead of Rhonda as we both had one project.

Welcome to the Elmo and Friends Blog Hop.  This hop is scheduled from June 18 at 9:00 am through June 19 at 11:00 pm.

If you just happened to come to this blog, you should start at the beginning at Lisa - http://handmadewithlove-lisa.blogspot.com/. If you came from Anita's blog then come hop along with us.

We're so excited to be doing this hop and we have a fabulous lineup with some very talented ladies.  There will be lots of fun projects, along with some great blog candy, and a great grand prize for this hop.

The hop is a 2 day hop so you will have plenty of time to make it through the whole hop lineup twice.  Check out each blog and see what blog candy you can win at the individual stops.  Please come back both days to see great projects.

Here is the complete lineup:
  1. Lisa - http://handmadewithlove-lisa.blogspot.com/
  2. Evila - http://frenchconnectiondesigns.blogspot.com
  3. Anita~ http://www.anitaandbugs.blogspot.com
  4. Laura - www.lauraleesdream.blogspot.com   ( Rhonda~ http://craftingwithblue.blogspot.com DAY 1)
  5. Lucy ~ http://www.love2createitall.com

There is going to be an overall grand prize sponsored by Lisa from Scrapping with Lisa Designs and she will be the first stop in the lineup.  In order to qualify for the grand prize, you must leave a comment on every stop in the hop. You also must become a follower of my blog, my dt blog at http://scrappingwithlisadesignsdt.blogspot.com/ and all blogs in this hop.  The grand prize for the blog hop is $20 in free files over at scrappingwithlisadesigns.com.

My project is ....a card I made for my grandson's third birthday. He is Elmo crazy!
Elmo was printed out from the internet onto vellum. Added some orange brads to hold it onto some orange glitter paper.
I am sorry this pic isn't better but it just wouldn't come out....

Your next stop is Lucy's blog. Check out her great project!
Have a great day!

Unscripted Sketches #163 + piggyback

#163 + piggyback (The piggyback this month is to use VELLUM. Remember that? :D If you don't have vellum, use something transparent/translucent )

Design Team Submission for The Robin's Nest

Blog- http://chatteringrobins.blogspot.com/
Website- http://www.robinsnest-scrap.com/

My submission today is a mini album. This book is from Simple Stories. They are this and that journalling pages from the summer fresh collection.
As soon as I saw them I knew they were going to be a mini album. They came with the June Kit from my LSS Up The Street. The whole kit was matching pages and twine and buttons and Cardstock Stickers to match..
I haven't finished the whole book yet as I am using it a little like a SMASH Book...
It is about My Favorite Things.
The front page will have that title but at the moment I have 5 different papers sitting out and just can't decide which one I want to use. I will be cutting the letters out with my cricut. I love sunflowers and CTMH so when I saw the May SOTM I knew it had to be mine.
I added stickles to the small sunflower in the middle and glossy accents and glitter to the big sunflower.

Double Page About Me

On the left page all the info about me is computer generated.
The flowers are from the May Kit from my LSS Up The Street. I added gems to the middles.
Art makes me happy is a Unity stamp. I also added a button and a leaf pin on the flowers.
All my pictures have the edges sanded. On the Me pics I have added burlap and a flower ribbon.
1-10
This page has thickers and stickers and rub-ons.
It also has computer generated words also.
I added a butterfly button.
This page I will be working on for awhile.. I will be making a collage of all my favorite things.
The butterflies on this page is stamped with Tim Holtz stains.. I just love the way they look...

The left side is my whole family.. youngest to oldest....
Glossy accents on the flowers and then I added gems.
I added a canvas tag and twine and then a ribbon sticker to finish it off.
The happy on the right side is wooden letters.

All the scrapbooking, cards and mini albums.
I used the MS butterfly punch with glossy accents.
I used a Unity sun stamp. I used Tim Holtz stain then added dew drops with glossy accents.
I have got a few more pages to do but I want to do then like a Smash book so they are not done yet.
I have a friend page and a page about my favorite place- Up The Street scrapbooking store in my hometown.
I will have a page about my pets... the ones I have now and ones we have had in the past.
I will have a page chocolate and all my favorite books and movies.
I have a page about my Mom and Dad and my grandparents.
I have added binder rings right now but I will be binding this album with the Cinch when I finish..
I want to add some file folders and a couple of envelopes for goodies.
Here are a few pics of the rest of the pages.. I love all of this paper, it is sooo cute.

As soon as I saw these papers I knew I had to make a mini album but when the little journalling pages came as a mistake I knew they would be my little book.
I think I want to do the back page on mixed media.. I want to do some of that this week while I am on holidays.
Hope everyone has a happy June!
