Festive Blog Hop #10

Hello again. It's Festive Friday again...and we are still making our Christmas cards (seems kinda weird as I made this one outside with the sun shining and it was hot out!!! It was wonderful!

If you came to my blog from Cheryl's blog you came from the right spot. If you happened along to my blog and want to start at the beginning you can go to Terri's blog. You will want to check out all the amazing cards in the blog... then if you like you can go to facebook and show us Christmas cards we inspired you to make at the Christmas Card Challenge page (festive blog hop). We would love to see your cards. Annie I am expecting one from you this week! Michelle keep them coming!

Now my card this week I made a Z fold card... I would use plain cardstock next time as I used textured paper and because this card is two layers thick it was too thick. I had trouble keeping the fold nice. I used the MS snowflake punch to make the top layer. The cardstock is some I had in my stash and so is the ribbon. I stamped the hedgehogs on the sled then used my copics and prismacolour pencil crayons on them.. I just love this stamp!

I found this video on youtube under z fold card by LindasWorksOfHeart

My next card is also going to be a z fold but with a twist...

Thanks for checking out my card!

Now on to see the great project Amanda has for you at Who Are You Calling Crafty!

I almost forgot to send out a great big thank you to Emily my DD for still being my right hand!

She has make card making still possible for me while my right hand has been injured and still swollen and not healing as I would have liked... Thanks again Em as I know this is not your thing!

Even though I keep trying!

Happy Friday everyone!

Wedding Card example...

I made this wedding card for an example... it is a tri shutter card... It was fun to make and quite easy... A Big shout out again to Emily for being my right hand as usual these days.. Thank goodness for her not just for my crafting but for all the things I cant do with my left hand...

I am going to add a bride and groom to the front scalloped circle.. I have to thank Laurie R. for the idea of the bride and groom , she made the cutest couple for our cricut card exchange.

The paper is some I had in my stash.. I inked all the edges with distress ink from Tim Holtz.

The little roses I also inked so they would match better...

Festive Blog Hop..#9 - A Day Late

You should have came here from Cheryl's blog.

Here is my card for the Festive Blog Hop...

It is a twisted easel card... Fab showed us one at the come2crop and I loved it so I looked it up on youtube and did one of my own. Thanks Fab!!!

Here is another version I found on a blog and it explains it really well - http://expressionswithheart.wordpress.com/2011/02/16/tilda-with-heart-lace-and-twisted-easel-tutorial/ This card is a bigger one than mine but it is the same principal... Now I want to make a 6x6 one as well...

My card has some papers I had in my paper stash.. they are very glittery and I love them. I

The stars are some material ones I had also just added jewels to them . The polar bear is cut at 4 inches with my cricut and the letters were also cut with my cricut . I welded them together with my gypsy. Then I added bling to the bottom layer to hold the card up... I think next time I will do a border on the short edge to do the same thing....

I have to again thank my DD Emily for glueing on the smaller pieces as my hand is still not right... It swells if I even use it alittle big... thanks Em!!!

Now off to the next blog on the hop Who Are You Calling Crafty by Amanda
