Festive Friday Blog Hop

Wow time has flown by and its almost Christmas time again. I am a little better prepared this year as I have a lot of Christmas cards done now because of this hop! (I also have some presents too , last year it was the week before and I was shopping to get done!)
Welcome to the hop! If you came here from Maria's blog you are in the right place and if you just happened upon my blog hop on over to Terri's blog and start at the first and see all the great projects!
Today just because I am me I am going to share a card from a gal (Pat Vail) in my cricut card group. I will share my own later tomorrow because I was hurried the other day leaving the scrapbooking store and the two cards I designed and made are still there. (I am hoping Tara will take pics for me and I can add them to my blog)
So here is Pat's card.. It is just beautiful in blue and white with silver accents.. It was made with the Christmas cards cricut cartridge. Just gorgeous! I do believe one of my first times on this hop I made a similar card but in greens and reds.
Now hop on over to Diane's blog  and see her wonderful project. Have a great Friday!

Well if you came here from Maria's blog you are in the right place but if you just happened upon this hop please    go to Terri's blog and start at the beginning and see all the wonderful projects.

My card is done all with CTMH paper.. The patterned paper is a few years old but I am trying to use up some older paper. The angel was stamped with walnut stain distress ink then I added sparkly embossing powder to it.The angel just shimmers. I cut the joy with my cricut using a child's year alpha. I added stickles. The ribbon is also CTMH olive. The design is from an old mojo monday sketch. Thanks for coming to visit and hope you saw lots of cards you want to do for Christmas!
Mine is the last blog on the hop but you might want to hop back to the first which is Terri's blog!

I just used scrap paper and CTMH gingham ribbon and a sizzix embossing die... I also used stickles which I love. The stamp is also CTMH.
Thanks for joining us on the hop and I am last this week but you can go back and visit Terri again if you like.

Link To Pink Her Craftiness!

Here is my project for Lynne's Link To Pink.... October is Breast Cancer Month.... I was going to post my Boob Card but I wanted to try something new....
I made an envelope card.  I used 3 5 1/2 by 5 1/2 envelopes and attached  them together with the flaps...
I matted a very pale pink with deeper pink and then black.
I used different flower stamps (unity and tim holtz). All the stamps I used I got from Up The Street ( my LSS) in Strathroy Ontario.
The words were a saying I found on internet.

The deep pink words were done on cricut. The rest I wrote myself. I need to work on my penmenship but it is getting somewhat better...
I used tim holtz victorian velvet and peeled paint distress ink...
I would like to finish it with tags for inside envelopes and pull out tabs.

I hope to do another project for this at the end of the month as the October Kit of the Month from Unity stamps have some great stamps for just this kind of project in mind...
Remember Gals.... as Sherry's card said yesterday.... Got Boobs? Get them checked!!!
Have a great Sunday!

If you are here from Cheryl’s blog you are in the right place but if you just happened along you can start the hop at Terri’s blog.

I have quite a few cards made now It will be nice come December to be ahead of the game. I had a hard time this week as the weather is so nice I just wasn’t happy with anything I made. So I went a totally different route than usual. I picked out the paper I wanted to use then made the card around it.

The paper is the from my stash.. I really like this paper…I added CTMH stamps pop dotted and my card was done. Just a simple card that took about 10 min to make and about 10 days to plan and change.

I added another photo this am as I wasn't happy with my card the way it was so I added a few crystals and green cardstock!

If you would like to share a Christmas card with us.. you can find us on facebook at Christmas Card Challenge.

Lynne has challenged me and I did 2 double page layouts and 2 cards.

All supplies were either from my own stash or from Tara at Up The Street in Strathroy Ontario.
I used 100 Days of Summer paper and Cardstock Stickers to go with it.. This line is from Simple Stories. I used lots of glossy accents... on the banner, on the sun, on the tree, on the word summer and the numbers... I love this stuff!!!
This is a sketch from Let's Scrap. 10-13-10 Sketch from Cheri O'Neill.
I have some blog candy for a lucky person that comments on this post. I would love it if you are a follower but its not necessary! I would like to know what colour the shovel and pail are... you will know what I am talking about if you came from Lynne's blog.

Festive Blog Hop #14

Here we are again! Welcome to our blog hop where we will show you some great Christmas cards!
Yes you heard right! Christmas cards!
If you just happened to come upon my blog you can start the hop at Terri's blog, but if you came here from Cheryl's blog you are at the right place.

I did three cards for today's hop... I used some leftover Christmas paper I had from last year.
I used three Splitcoast Card Sketches.... #335, 336 and 337.
335- I embossed a snowflake stamp (A Rhonna Christmas Card) with clear embossing powder.
The sentiment is a circle stamp by Junkitz. I just love this design.
336- A very simple card. The peace stamp is by inkadindado. I stamped it with peeled paint distress ink. The three snowflakes I cut with my cricut using Winter Lace. They are 1 1/4 and 1 inch. I put some stickles on them for glitter!
337- The Merry Christmas is dry embossed with a sizzix folder and then I just rubbed some red ink (distress) over it... The white piece under that is also cuttlebugged (or big shotted) (is that a word) with christmas starts and then rubbed with ink..... 3 easy cards made in about an hour!

Hop on over and check out what the talented Amanda has for you today!!!!
Have a great day and hope to see you on facebook... be sure to visit everyone on the hop and leave a comment.. we all love to hear your comments!!!

Festive Blog Hop #12

Can you believe it? Today is almost 6 months till Christmas Day! If you have been joining us here on the Festive Blog Hop you have quite a few Christmas Cards done already! Isn't that a great feeling!
Welcome to the 12th installment of the hop! If you came here from Cheryl's blog then you are in the right place but if you just happened upon my blog and want to start at the beginning go to Terri's blog.
Ok now for my card! This week I went for simple because this is a huge work week and I just haven't been inspired. I really don't like that feeling at all but I am hoping I got my mojo back. Last night I challenged myself - got out one piece of patterned paper, a scrap of red paper, a round punch, my corner chomper, my notebook punch thingy from SU and one cuttlebug folder and this is what I came up with. Card is 5 x 61/2. PP is a 1/4 inch smaller then punch down the left side to look like a notebook. I punch Joy from the PP. I then used my corner punch on the two side pieces and ran then thru the big shot using the allegro cuttlebug folder.
I really wanted to put stickles somewhere on it but I think it calls for a muted look!

Thanks for hopping with us, and if you like join us on facebook for the Christmas Card Challenge... and share your christmas cards with us!

My Minds Eye contest layout- Sketch and Music...#24

If you are looking for my card from the Edventures Blog hop go down one post! Thanks.

Here is my entry for the My Mind's Eye Blog Contest #24.
All the products used are My Mind's Eye except for the red cardstock which is Tim Holtz and the fabric covered brads which I had in my stash.
I also used a MS punch for the hearts on the red paper. I love this border punch.
Even the daisy fabric ribbon and the lace is My Mind's Eye.I got it for another layout then liked it with this one.
The three little phrases under the pictures say
How often our hearts return to the home that's filled with love- left side
brothers and sisters are the best kinds of friends- middle
Our family is raised on love and happiness - right side.
All the paper and the accessories came from Up The Street in Strathroy, Ontario my favorite local scrapbook store!

The patterned paper is Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky paper line..I used both sides of the same paper. I also used Out Of The Blue accessories sheet which is also Lime Twist. I used letters cut out with my Cricut and layered. They are from Lyrical Letters (jumbo)
The song is We Are Family from Sister Sledge. This song was a 1979 dance hit.

Thanks to My Mind's Eye for the challenge. I don't do much scrapbooking anymore and I need to get caught up( hahaaaaha)!

I am so excited and honoured to be part of this hop.
We are showcasing Sue Miller stamps and the hop is sponsored by Sue Miller and Queen Kat Designs. I will say I LOVE these stamps, they are so beautiful!

These images gave me some trouble but I finally got an image I (kind of) like.I tried to do two other images but I have come to the conclusion that I need alot of practice at colouring stamps.. I tried chalk and colouring on the wrong side of vellum and it was fun trying but nothing I could show.. but what a fun way to learn!

I made an easel card. It was a great way to show the Hello sentiment on the card.
The stamp is called Angel Knock. I used copic markers and a few prisma pencil crayons. I also used my best friend Stickles. I am not sure I can do a project without them.
The image is on Kraft cardstock from Michaels. I then matted it on purple bazzill and then on corrigated cardstock I got from Up The Street in Strathroy my favorite LSS. I then put the whole thing on brown bazzill.
The card is a 6x6 inch. Under the hello which I cut out on my Cricut and designed with my gypsy, I stamped some butterflies from Butterfly Wings, a CTMH stamp set.
I also used my Tim Holtz distress inks to ink everything in sight!
I have to say a big thanks to Fab because I like to try different folds and more variations on those folds and he has showed me how! So thanks!
Next stop on the hop is Fab's blog so have a great time and enjoy his fabulous card!
