Unscripted Sketches - #156

Welcome to Sketch it Saturdays! If you are just finding Unscripted Sketches, every Saturday morning they post a sketch for the week. Flip the sketch, rotate it… create a card, a scrapbook page, or anything your imagination comes up with! There is no right or wrong way, as long as you are using the Unscripted Sketch as the inspiration and basis of your creation! Check out all the designers projects at www.unscriptedsketches.com

I decided to use this sketch to make a Mother's Day card for a gal at work.
I used yellow cardstock. Then I used red Tim Holtz red cardstock.
I sanded and distress with ink all the edges.
Ticket corner the edges and then on the bottom of the three little strips
I used a film strip punch. The main image is supposed to be a coffee cup
(it is from Better Together -Imagine) and the chocolate bar is from 9 months
then filled with colour and cut with my imagine.
I added some foil accents and some cute little puffy hearts.
Mom is cut with my cricut (gyspy font)
I wanted to make a little different so this is all on chipboard and I added
a big clip so it is more than a card!
On the back I have two intertwined hearts.
I decided to change up the foil accents , I didn't really like them so I added
some black glittery flourishes.
Here is the new version.
Please come and join us at Unscripted Sketches with your version of the sketch.

Guest Designer for Her Craftiness - April Showers

Thanks Lynne for having me today as guest designer! Really enjoyed making this card!
Hi ..Today I made a Diamond Fold card...It is a neat card and fairly easy to make.
I found some very cool shiny paper with umbrella's on it at Up The Street.
I used my Create a Critter for the cute chick and the umbrella. The words April Showers
are computer generated and cut out with Spellbinders.
Thanks for checking out my card and thanks again Lynne for having me!!!

Unscripted Sketches - #155 + piggyback

Hi this week's sketch has a piggyback which is to use something that is recycled.
If you want to check out all the design team's projects go to www.unscriptedsketches.com
Here is my version of the sketch
All the paper came from Tara's Handsome Fella April Kit.
It's perfect paper for "guy"layouts or cards.
It's Echo Park paper and sticker letters...
All the embellishments are from kit also except for the washer.
I used a wood look embossing folder for the brown.
I also embossed on corner of the green (bottom right)
I inked everything (I always do)
I coloured the washer with alcohol ink. (so easy)
The washer and the twine are the recycled items.
Check out the April kits from Up The Street
They are amazing...love them!

Please join us at Unscripted Sketches with your version of the sketch
We would love to see what you come up with.

Unscripted Sketches- #154

For The Calender Girls Blog Hop please scroll down.....

Hello I am so excited today is my first submission for Unscripted Sketches on their design team.
Here is this weeks sketch.

Here is my version of this sketch...
I did a card and a layout as I was inspired by the sketch.

This is lilybee paper. I love polka dots so this is a favorite of mine.
The 3 strips are Tim Holtz Kraft Core paper..I used spellbinders for the sentiment and the thank you is a stamp I found at Up TheStreet. I also used two different flower dies for my flower... one is spellbinders and one is a sizzix die I  put them together... I then added a pearl.

This is soccer paper also from Up The Street.
This is my daughter Em in her last playoff game.
She is such a soccer diva as you can tell from her soccer gear!
MS punches and some stickers....

Visit www.unscriptedsketches.com and upload your own version of the sketch!
We would love to see all your projects...
Happy Saturday!

Festive Friday

Hi .. it's Festive Friday again..
If you came from Maria's blog you came from the right place but if you just happened upon my blog and want to start at the beginning you need to go to Terri's blog.
I have a really cute card for you and an announcement to go with it....
My card today is made with Unscripted Sketches #152 . I love their sketches.

So here is last weeks sketch. The paper is all Graphic 45.. it is such pretty paper..and I also used some Red Tim Holtz Kraft Core paper... love it!!!!(Can you tell I am a paper addict!) I also had a white prima flower I inked up and added a pearl....Card is 6x6.

And I also did another card using the same papers and with another Unscripted Sketch. It is #153 and the sketch for their Blog-iversary! I used one of my fav spellbinders Pointsettia dies. The joy is from a CTMH stamp set that came with my Art Philosophy cartridge for the cricut.
I am donating all my cards made in the last month to a local charity Women On A Mission. They have a ladies night out in early May with a great dinner, silent auction,, and lots of dancing... ladies only (oh except for the firefighters they have serving)

For my ANNOUNCEMENT! I am a new designer for Unscripted Sketches..I am sooo excited and found
I am loving the challenge so far! Thanks Sarah and gals for picking me!
hope you enjoy ... now on to Amanda's blog to see her fantastic project!

Hippity Hop Spring is Here- Guest Designer

I am guest designer today for Susan. Thanks Susan!!!! I made this layout but didn't get the picture I wanted from Easter to put on it... Kinda bummed as I really could see the pics I wanted on here but they just didn't happen on Easter.
The papers are all from my stash. I made the heart from with my cricut and Elegant Edges.. the leaves are from Tara's new spellbinders rolled flowers die and the flowers and the wooden rabbits are from the dollar store...

I think I want to add a couple of scalloped circles also but wanted the pics first...the good thing is the unfinished  version shows off the pretty pink paper...its sooo shiny....
thanks for looking...
