Emmas Throwback Thursday Challenge

The challenge is.....***Use either "Paper Doll Dress Up" OR "Everyday Paper Doll" cartridge for this challenge!
*** Project of your choice MUST include either heat or dry embossing on it!
Also if you want to do this challenge and you don't have either of these carts you can use any older cart just make sure there is some kind of embossing on it....
Thanks Emma for another great challenge...

So I found some little girl paper and some cute glitter cardstock. I used D'vine Swirls for the dry embossing. I cut the stroller from Everyday Paper Dolls. I have to say these two carts have so many imagines to chose from it was hard to pick one.
The card is 6 x6. I have been making more this size because the envelopes are handy for me to get as I live in the same town that Clearbag.ca is in... I really love that place!!!

Cards I made with Cardstock, Patterned Paper and Ribbon from Scrappy Jak

I want to say first a big Thank You to Scrappy Jak for letting me join this group of crafters... I was so excited when my first package came in the mail..
Both of the sets of paper and ribbon talked to me.. (doesn't happen often) so I sketched what I wanted then when I could I got crafting...
The first one has a teal coloured card base.. I used tons of bling cause this paper just called out to use it. The happy birthday is from celebrations with flourish lite..a must have cricut cart. The colours I used for the sentiment are all from CTMH chocolate, baby pink and I believe baby blue.
The second card was easy to. I used Doodlecharms for the snowman. Black bling for his eyes. Two snowflake brads I had in my stash. The sketch is SCS211 challenge sketch. I just love the shimmery cardstock Melissa used for the cardbase (doesnt show up well in my pic, sorry). I matted the snow paper to make it pop a bit..This card is so pretty in real life.. Again I am sorry about the quality of my photos.. (I just cant figure out the lighting for pics in our place.)
Thanks for looking....Cant wait to see what everyone else did with the same stuff!

I made this card for the Cricut Cardz Challenge #58

I recieved this paper from a new friend and soon as I saw it I knew it had to have a snowman on it..then I saw this challenge... so...
Cardstock is a very glimmery dark slate blue and the patterned paper has snow words all over it.. not sure of brand... the ribbon also came with the cardstock and its so pretty I couldn't cover it up totally...two white snowflake brads-the snowman is from Doodlecharms(so this card will also be part of my own challenge to use all my carts this year) and two black diamond bling for his eyes. I also used SCS211 for my sketch.

I said I would make something each week from my cricut cartridges... I made this card for a special birthday girl. Her birthday is in January...
I made the card itself , the insert , the happy, the happy birthday , and the girl from A Child's Year... I just love this paper I got at Up The Street.....cant remember name of it now...oh and I put three little diamond things for a little tiara...
I used Ranger Glossasy Accents on the happy and the happy birthday then i also used it on the girl but then i put on some glitter embossing powder Tara had and just heated it alittle...
It was a fun card to make....

First layout of 2011

I am not making a new years resolution because I would likely just break it....... BUT I am going to try to make a new layout weekly and at least two cards...AND post them on my blog. So here goes..
This is a layout I did for my sister and my brother for the albums I am slowly making for them... I did two almost the same...
This is my Mom,she passed away a few years ago and is dearly missed by us all.
This picture is at Frankenmuth MI and is the last time Mom and Diane and I went on a girls weekend.. She looks great.
You would never know she had a heart attack within a week of this pic.
I used my cricut and distress stickles for the letters in MOM(lyrical letters).. Prima flowers.. some ribbon I found in my stash.. am still not sure whether it really matches but it is definitely "my Mom". SHe would have loved this layout... cuttlebug folder cut up and distressed...and I used my MS punch on the bottom paper under the pic...
Thanks for looking...
